Argentum’s foundation is our competence within IT- and Consulting, we have built our very existence upon this. It runs through all we do and all that we offer our clients. Relying on more than 20 years of experience from system development and consulting assignments at more than hundreds of projects within public and private sector Argentum offers a unique competence. We offer expertise in all areas ranging from project management to hosting. From integration projects to identifying new ways of expanding for your company. From developing large, safe maintenance systems to small intelligent Bluetooth-solutions.

So, why isn’t IT and Consulting our fifth business area?

To answer that you have to understand our standpoint and our focus. In our mind the main purpose for IT and Consulting is to offer the best imaginable service to our customers and to serve our internal needs. Our job is to boost our clients, to help them create a structure and give them the best security. We help them to open up new doors for better routines, service and increase their competitiveness on their market.

How we go about this varies from client and from case to case. We have a dual function as we should act as an asset to the client and offer them both know-how and flexibility. Below you will find a short description of our five major areas within IT and Consulting:

1) Consulting: Cost efficient competence and capacity

Our consultants work onsite with our clients in the client’s system. This for the time period of your choice, be it a longer or a shorter period of time. These assignments are usually system-administration, programming, database administration or application development where the client is in need of additional competence or temporarily need more manpower. Our consultants have extensive experience from working within both public and private sector.

2) Development: Strategic outsourcing

We have packaged our competence into an offer suitable for those who seek an offensive strategy. Either the client makes a strategic choice to outsource the developing and administration of their systems or we extend our existing managing assignments and Argentum takes over the responsibility for the client’s system or application. This will unleash resources and create new opportunities. And you still have full control.

3) System- and application development: Our key competence

This part is to a great extent focusing on our internal development tasks for Argentum’s four business areas. Researching and investigating about future platforms and products. Continuous development, testing of the existing applications and documentation. In this area we also include quality assessment for new products and advanced technical support offered to Argentum’s clients.

4) Hosting and network: Functionality without investments

We offer our clients a wide range of choices of different hosting-, ASP- and server solutions. Some clients wish to have a trial period where we host the applications and solutions during the first phase before they take over the administration of the system. Others see us as a good and safe solution for running systems and applications on a dedicated server. Yet others look at the advantages of having access to the capacity and functionality that they need, without investing big money.

5) Supplementary services: Experience and safety

Since most IT-assignments are initiated by the needs and demands of the customer we find it hard to label all of our cooperation projects and services using only one common headline. Besides what’s already been mentioned above we also offer services such as:

Project management for administrative systems: A broad competence and several years of experience from different administrative systems is what make us frequently hired for project management. E.g. when a client is going to implement a new system or integrate their existing solutions with new, complementary parts. Our project manager functions as a bridge between the customer’s manager and the system supplier.

Project management maintenance systems: Argentum’s focus on industrial processes and experience of different maintenance systems (e.g. Maximo, Rejos) qualifies us as an important asset when the customer is about to chose the right solution for their unique organisation. We offer help either in the shape of complete supplier or as an external project manager who secures function, quality and makes sure that the customer can focus on their core business.

3D-graphics: Especially for simulations and industrial projects.

Web programming: HTML or content management solutions.
